About Me

I am a sinner who by the grace of God will one day be with Him for eternity. Praise God for being so loving to me!
I was listening to a preacher and he said the phrase "take up your cross daily and follow Jesus" (Luke 9:23) means to be unswervingly faithful to Jesus, to adapt completely to Jesus' example of living and if necessary, follow Him even if it means death. It's a Spiritual Cross not a physical cross He wants us to bear.
What It Means to Follow Jesus—Matthew 16:24–28; Mark 8:34–9:1; Luke 9:23–27

Favorite Things

I dislike how parents are not teaching their children to respect their elders or anyone else older than themselves. How young Americans have no respect for those who put their lives on the line for us each day and the military personnel who have fought for us since the Revolutionary War. And most of all, I dislike how we are allowing those who hate God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to take over our country, each day taking more and more of our religious rights away from us by using the people who are suppose to represent us.
"God’s approval is revealed in this Good News. This approval begins and ends with faith as Scripture says, 'The person who has God’s approval will live because of faith.' God’s anger is revealed from heaven against every ungodly and immoral thing people do as they try to suppress the truth by their immoral living." - Romans 1:17-18 (GW)

Body Piercing Saved Our Lives!

Isaiah 53:2-6 (NLT)

2 My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot,
like a root in dry ground.
There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance,
nothing to attract us to him.
3 He was despised and rejected—
a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.
He was despised, and we did not care.

 4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins!
5 But he was pierced for our rebellion,
      crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away.
We have left God’s paths to follow our own.
Yet the Lord laid on him
      the sins of us all.
