My mom passed away Christmas Day of 2011 complications of Alzheiimers. People are under the impression that Alzheimers means you forget things. Thats not at all what it is. It's about a person whose brain is shrinking. That little by little they are losing control of their body..they can't talk, they cant walk, they lose control of their entire bodies and eventually they become a vegetable...they revert back to childhood and become a baby, you become the parent. I resent when people make fun of something they have no idea of. Often people with this disease get Dementia and thats the one where they lose their memory and mind. Now put that together and you have someone who is afraid in their own body. I resent when people make fun of something they have no idea what they are talking about. I lived it every day with my mom and I do !!!! Alzheimers is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States !!!
